Description

My View of Mental Health Services

This book will show the reader of this new mental health book how services can help and how to make the care services better.
Mental Health can affect anybody, not just the one in 4 people with a mental health issue.
Hopefully people will be more aware of some of the issues around mental health and the services involved which are aimed at clients getting better quicker when they have read this book.

The community services are important and help lots of people. It would be great if the services could be more enjoyable and exciting.

Anybody can get depressed and they may need help to overcome depression as the illness might affect some people but with medication this can eventually become better but this may take time and need help from health care professionals and doctors and nurses.

There are less services like that nowadays they have been sold off and the depression services have changed over the years Sandbach mental health services have shut down.

I now live in Crewe near Crewe Park. The mental health services have less funding that they had twenty years ago.
The services helped me to deal with and live with a mental health issue and still do.

About the Author

Tim Price was affected by lack of oxygen when he was born in 1973. He was first diagnosed with a mental health problem in 1990, it was called Depression. This was shortly after leaving school and entering Further Education.

People can develop several different kinds of mental health issues or problems; they may need the experience of medical staff in hospitals like the Priory, Leighton, Macclesfield or other Mental Health Units.

Tim later discovered, with the help of the late Dr Lorna Wing, that he had Asperger’s Syndrome.

This was early in 1994.

He received help from staff with experience of mental health problems. The mental health team found appropriate accommodation for Tim. He receives help from carers every week.

Recovery took a long time with help from hospitals, carers from the Mental Health Unit, his friends and family.

He has already had three books published by Chipmunkapublishing called “How to Improve Mental Health” which describes the practical and other activities that he has achieved, since he began to get better, “My Insight into the Computing World” which describes how Tim has used computers over the years, to help him to learn and The Olympic Games, where he recalls the parts that he found interesting.

Tim is normally a positive, happy person and he joins in activities whenever he can.

Tim has enjoyed sport all his life, including the Olympic Games, and supporting various sporting events whenever he can.
